Meeting of urban design

The "Meeting of urban design", organised by Urban Sketchers and the Cluster de Còmic i Nous Mitjans de Mallorca, within the CòmicNostrum – Comic Festival of Mallorca is taking place on 9, 10 and 11 October in Palma de Mallorca.  

One more year, Es Baluard collaborates with this and this time holding a conference directed by the sketchers Feliu Renom and Catalina Rigo (Palma), Swasky (Barcelona) and Rolf Schröter (Berlin).

The 9th October's session is aimed at students of high school art and illustration, even it's presented as an open session.  

On 9, 10 and 11 October at 11.00 am a meeting and chatting is taking place at the Es Baluard's Aljub, followed by a tour of urban design.    

Urban Sketchers Manifesto:  

1. We draw "in situ", under shelter or outdoors, capturing directly what we observe.
2. Our drawings tell the story of our surroundings, the places where we live and where we travel to.
3. When drawing, we document a place and a certain time.
4. We are faithful to the scenes we witness.
5. We celebrate the diversity of styles of drawing and use any kind of tools and support.
6. We help each other and draw in group.
7. We share our drawings online.
8. We show the world, drawing by drawing.
