Toni Catany, Tulipes, 2012
Es Baluard joins the 8th edition of PalmaPhoto with the workshop “Still life or construction of a picture” by Toni Catany (Llucmajor, Mallorca, 1942). The workshop is focused on shooting still life but will also address other classic genres like the portrait, the nude or the landscape, from the experience of this artist. The workshop will be on June 28, 29 and 30 with a maximum of 12 participants, that register through the e-mail difusio@esbaluard.org.
SCHEDULE
June, 28 from 4 to 8 pm
First contact with the participants and checking of their books *.
Screening of the author's slides, with commentaries about how and why they were taken and the techniques used (calotype, B/W, negative color, transfer Polaroid and digital photo).
The artist will provide information to the participants to work on their own project.
June, 29 from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm
The participants will make their own still life with natural light and with the artist's collaboration.
June, 30 from 10 am to 2 pm
Toni Catany will make a still life.
Screening of the works made during the workshop with the artist's analysis.
