Feminine figures and faces have exercised an unquestionable power of seduction over artists, who have found in them the motif on which to work the line, expression, colour… Spaces of experimentation and at the same time, spaces of emotion. Thanks to the deposits of the Fundació d’Art Serra, Es Baluard has a selection of works signed by some of the greatest 20th -century artists: Tsuguharu Foujita, Archie Gittes, Marie Laurencin and Juli Ramis, which along with the work of Pilar Montaner de Sureda (deposit of the Consell de Mallorca), they all used their gaze and talent to leave testimony of their own particular vision of women.
