The dynamics of these visits are different to those of the general visits. They are comprised of two parts, one consisting of observation and reflection in front of the pieces in the museum’s halls and another consisting of practical and plastic work in the workshop space, where the concepts elaborated on during the visit are worked on and reinforced.

The objective of this activity is to transcend the dimensions of the museum itself, to propose a work of continuity with the educational centre before and after the visit. To achieve this, the joint collaboration of the participating teachers and the museum’s educational department is necessary.

  • Primary workshop visit: Have fun with art! During this visit children will observe and reflect on a selection of works from the museum’s collection. The visit will conclude with a workshop activity in which they will give shape to everything they have worked on during the trip. Because of the large differences between the different age groups within primary education, we offer the workshop visits in accordance with the age group in question.

  • Secondary workshop visit: Go ahead, say what you think! On these trips teenagers learn, through practical activities in the museum halls and within the framework of visual culture, to interpret, appraise and respect both this museum and contemporary art and the world that surrounds them, using a critical spirit. The activity is comprised of a tour and a practical workshop session.
