As part of the exhibition Amparo Sard, Pareidolia, Es Baluard offers the opportunity to discover first hand the work the museum and El Corte Ingles produced for the Nit de l'Art and can be visited through February 2, 2014 in the Cabinet room. Amparo Sard (Son Servera, Mallorca, 1973) will explain the context in which her work was done, all that lives in it and will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask her questions about her career and Pareidolia.
Amparo Sard (Son Servera, Mallorca, 1973), as well as being one of the most outstanding artists of her generation internationally speaking, with an increasingly prolific career, has a presence in important collections: the Guggenheim and MoMA in New York; Deutsche Bank, Berlin; Col·lecció Testimoni, “la Caixa”, Barcelona; Teylers Museum, Haarlem (Holland); Artium, Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo, Vitoria; Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma, among others. She has taken part in fairs such as The Armory Show, Arte Fiera Bolonia, Art Miami, Pulse Miami/New York, Art Cologne, Art Chicago, LOOP, Art Brussels, NEXT, Circa, ARCO, Art Forum, Art Amsterdam, Art Rotterdam, Top 25 Casablanca, ROMA a Road to Contemporary, and more. Her most important projects include: “From the Doubt to the Mistake”, Rotterdam Museum (2013); “El Ángel Exterminado: A room for Contemporary Art”, Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels (2010); “Impasse.
