Temporal is a show by the company Ploma that combines vertical dance, dance on stilts and dance on the floor. It takes as its starting point the book Momo by Michael Ende, which reflects the duality of the world we live in:
“How do we use the time we save? Can time be saved? If people knew what death was, they would no longer be afraid of it. And if they were no longer afraid of it, no one could ever again steal their time of life.” Momo, Michael Ende
In life, we allow ourselves to be dulled by a system that makes us slaves, by a time that dominates us, by the fear of getting off the beaten track. We must stop time and abandon our frenetic and alienating routines to discover our own path, to connect with our essence. It is not easy, but if we succeed, we will find a space where we can play and enjoy, where time does not matter, where we can be free. Temporal makes us feel this duality in a physical, experiential and intuitive way.
Es Baluard Museu programmes Temporal as part of the activities planned for the celebration of its 20th anniversary.
