Round Table: Activism, art and HIV in the Balearic Islands

On the occasion of International AIDS Day, which has been celebrated on December 1 since 1988, when it was proclaimed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the museum organizes the round table Activism, art and HIV in the Balearic Islands.
This initiative is linked to the exhibition “AIDS. A Silenced History in the Balearic Scene” curated by Jesús Alcaide, which can be visited at Es Baluard Museum until January 12, 2025.
The proposed round table aims to offer a look from the present, towards the activism of the recent past on HIV-AIDS in the Islands, based on the works present in the aforementioned exhibition. It is an open activity with the participation of people representing significant social entities, experts in the field of health and also from other related professions.
