AFTERPOP FERNÁNDEZ & FERNÁNDEZ

Afterpop Fernández & Fernández is a performance in the spoken word format that combines pictures, music and texts, fruit of the collaboration between the writers Agustín Fernández Mallo and Eloy Fernández Porta. On this occasion they present the essay by Eloy Fernández Porta €®O$: La superproduction de los afectos (Anagrama Essay Prize). As a background to the reading, they use sound and visual material in the form of a VJ session using visuals with copyleft licence.

Agustín Fernández Mallo (A Coruña, 1967) is the author of the book of poems Yo siempre regreso a los pezones y al punto 7 del Tractatus (Edició Personal, 2001), Creta Lateral Travelling (La Guantera, 2004: Cafè Món Prize), Joan Fontaine Odisea (La Poesía, Señor Hidalgo, 2005) and Carne de píxel (DVD, 2008: Ciudad de Burgos Prize). He has also published the essay Postpoesía: Hacia un nuevo paradigma (Anagrama: Finalist in the Anagrama Essay Prize 2009). His trilogy Project Nocilla includes the novels Nocilla Dream (Candaya, 2006), Nocilla Experience (Alfaguara, 2008: Miradas2 and Pop-Eye Prizes) and Nocilla Lab.

Eloy Fernández Porta (Barcelona, 1974) is the author of the story books Los minutos de la basura (Montesinos, 1997) and Caras B (Debate, 2001). He has edited two anthologies: the compilation of stories Golpes (DVD, 2004: in cooperation with Vicente Muñoz Álvarez) and the poetry sampler RealTime (Quimera Magazine, 291). His books include Afterpop (Berenice, 2007) and Homo Sampler (Anagrama, 2008). He contributes to various publications, including Quimera and Cultura/s and is director of the congress of new trends NEO3.

At 1 pm Agustín Fernández Mallo and Eloy Fernández Porta will meet the public and explain the Afterpop literary concept on which the multidisciplinary concept Afterpop Fernández & Fernández is based.
