Digital world has changed the way we see and know the world. It has also changed the way we approach works of art and museums. Art en pantalla is a public programme to promote reading and dissemination of the History of Art from multiple perspectives, which will also address the dissemination of these contents on social networks and other digital platforms, based on lectures by experts in the aforementioned topics.
Art en pantalla features the presence of Eugenia Tenenbaum, Sara Rubayo, Jorge Carrión, Miguel Ángel Cajigal, Clara González Freyre de Andrade and Marisol Salanova herself, who will present thesis in her new book La crítica de arte en la actualidad, published by Editorial Akal, also in her talked entitled, Crítica de arte actual: entre el papel y la pantalla.
Salanova intends to address the topic of art criticism and how its role has changed throughout the 20th century to lead to the present. She will also analyse the way in which the digital medium has conditioned and expanded her message. In addition, she will recommend the readings that have been decisive in understanding the history of art and what the role of criticism has been in its development, always from a close and didactic perspective as Teoría del arte y cultura digital by Juan Martín Prada or Galerías de arte: conceptos, historias y otras particularidades by Pedro Marín Boza.
Marisol Salanova is an art critic and exhibition curator. Graduated in Philosophy from the University of Valencia and with a master’s degree in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, she has dedicated part of her professional career to artistic communication.
