• Time: 7:00 p.m.
• Space: Bookshop

Sara Rubayo researches, writes, communicates, records, edits and disseminates content ranging from the great classics of painting to the latest trends in art. Her informative work focuses on the digital world where she shares posts, Instagram stories and threads about art from original points of view. In addition to collaborating in different media, she presents the podcast La Señora del Arte.

We have scheduled her talk pintorAs, the other part of Art History, for the second session of Art en pantalla, a public programme to promote the reading and dissemination of Art History from multiple perspectives, which also addresses the dissemination of artistic content on social networks and other digital platforms, and which has the presence of Eugenia Tenenbaum, Jorge Carrión and Miguel Ángel Cajigal (El Barroquista).

In her intervention, Rubayo will tell us about how her books pay special attention to making women artists visible, materializing the result of her research in this sense, in a didactic way. On the other hand, she will recommend readings that have been fundamental for her, books that have contributed to her training as an art historian and that have influenced her when writing her own.

Sara Rubayo is an art historian and cultural disseminator. In 2015 she opened her YouTube channel, La Gata Verde, to bring art to all audiences, in a fun but rigorous way. It disseminates content ranging from the great classics of painting to the latest trends. Her work also focuses on Instagram and Twitter. She is a collaborator in the program El Condensador de Fluzo on La 2 de TVE. She makes women artists visible in pintorAs 1 and pintorAs 2, books edited by Paidós and she is the author of Te gusta el Arte Aunque No lo Sepas.
