Art in the twenty-first century

As the activity of the exhibition "Reproducibilitat 1.0", Es Baluard screens 10 documentary films from the series "Art in the twenty-first century", courtesy of Art21 and Huma3. They are documentary films linked to the exhibition since they analyze the work of artists represented there or because they are photographers who have dealt with the concept of image in the same way the exhibition which opens the Es Baluard's 2013-2014 season.  

"Art in the Twenty-First Century" reveals the artists at work and speaking in their own words as they demonstrate the power of art to alter perception, challenge convention, and change how we see the world around us. Throughout six seasons, from 2002, this tv series has portrayed 100 artists, the most representative of the current era.

In the documentary films screened in Es Baluard appears the following artists: Cindy Sherman, Catherine Opie, Roni Horn, John Baldessari, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Robert Adams, William Wergman, Alfredo Jaar and Sally Mann.  

All screenings are in the original language (English) with Spanish subtitles.
