Es Baluard Museu program in concert with Barba Corsini presenting hers, her latest album “Un nou incendi” (Bankrobber, 2021). This activity is the final touch of the Experimental Poetry Festival “Mira a veure si…” which is linked to the exhibition “Let’s see if… Experimental Poetry and Mail Art in Mallorca”.

Barba Corsini is an electronic music group influenced by dub, sound poetry, collage and noise formed by Eduard Escoffet and Pope. Created in 2017, since then they have been immersed in the search for their own language halfway between pop and experimentation.

“Un nou incendi” has ten songs that talk about days that did not exist or the new economic models, as well as infinite layers of voice and unstoppable rhythms. Although they form a homogeneous ensemble, each track points to different musical worlds: from spoken word to Laurie Anderson, from Lee Scratch Perry to industrial music, from GAS to text-sound, from Planningtorock Dan Deacon, passing through Macromassa, Darkstar and Ghédalia Tazartès, among other worlds.

The disc swings between the wounds of the capitalist system and the wounds of love: everything that, in short, tightens our bodies every day.
