Co-creation workshop ecreative Europeana

Platoniq, an open innovation center based in Palma, driving projects like the platform Goteo.org, organizes with the collaboration of Es Baluard a co-creation workshop to take place in the museum from November 11 through 13. Platoniq thus becomes the first Es Baluard’s contributor collective, a typology that, as defined by the museum, "includes those schools, developers and organizations –nonprofit or not, not necessarily related to culture, but to the construction of a more just and happy world, to all those involved and engaged with society, its history and preservation that want to establish a relationship of complicity with the museum without a continuity preset but to be built in order to facilitate programming of common interest".

The co-creation workshop “ecreative Europeana”, to be held in Es Baluard, born from an initiative within the European project ecreative, driven by Europeana, with which Platoniq collaborates with other 26 institutions as the British Library, the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision or the social innovation hub We Are What We Do (UK). The project aims to enhance the visibility, the innovative and sustainability use of cell phone applications of digital content open to museums, archives, exhibitions and other documentary sources from the cultural industries.

The workshop, to be conducted entirely in English given the provenance of several participants from different organizations in other countries, will consist of dynamics of co-design to develop digital projects (from stages to users and collaborative prototyping, with a last part of business models and introduction to agile work like scrum). Specifically, the aim is to output a pilot project several partners will develop later, based on open audio content from various European institutions working in digital heritage, where the goal is to be able to appropriate and "come to life" in social networks.

Taking this, the starting point of the dynamics are primarily examples of audio and images and a platform yet running: the local history community geolocation allowed by historypin.com. The ultimate goal of the whole dynamic is to reflect on how they could be doing to integrate or develop around innovative digital solutions that integrate both social networks. Something besides the main objective is also relevant on a practical level, conceptual and methodological.
