Design is Not What You Think It Is
Es Baluard organises in collaboration with Atlas a meeting round design. Join us in a round table discussion with Peter Bi’lak (Works That Work magazine), Miguel Fluxá (CEO, Camper) and Biel Huguet. Moderated by Astrid Stavro (Atlas), this event will set the stage for understanding design as a catalyst in business.
Es Baluard as observatory and archaeologist museum, both of the past and immediate present from our privileged strategic position in the Mediterranean, which will reassess the culture of the Balearics and its international networks with a function of antenna and node.
How can we cultivate a healthy, progressive, holistic and sustainable culture for design? Design is more and more central to the success
of the modern business, playing a key role across a broad range of industries. In an increasingly complex global world, design is an international language that focuses on synthesizing complexity by translating it into useful insights, helping to both shape dialogue and promote discovery.
“Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what it looks like. People think it’s this veneer – that the designers are handed this box and told, ‘Make it look good!’ That’s not what we think design is. It’s not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” – Steve Jobs
