DIALOGICAL PRACTICES II

Seminar-workshop coordinated by Javier Rodrigo and Aida Sánchez Serdio.

The educational and curator work are a growing field in which the contextual framework and the social impact of the museum, along with other cultural institutions in the urban fabric, are marked as areas of work. The relevance of this action line is shown by example in promoting cultural policies throughout Europe.

In contemporary times, educational departments and community projects require an interdisciplinary and transversal work articulated in collaborations and network. These practices indicate the importance of working with groups and with the socio-cultural structure, where collaborative projects and museums as cultural institutions have much to contribute, and where we can create new spaces for the negotiation of proximity cultural policies.

This second edition of the seminar-workshop "dialogical practices" was addressed to recover the collaborative practices and community work at museums, looking at their lights and shapes, to learn from a professional and cultural field expanding in our country. Our intention is to identify and publicize the development of educational departments as well as critical socio-cultural projects in a format that goes beyond the mere transmission, communication or a fun event, to face the consequences of a collaborative work both at the personal and institutional.
