EXHIBITION: LASER, AND INVENT THAT REVOLUTIONED OUR LIVES

It has been more than fifty years since the discovery of the laser. Originally without a clear practical application, the laser has become today a fundamental part of our lives. The LASER possibilities are unattainable: optical communications, entertainment, medicine, industry… The laser is undoubtedly one of the revolutionary scientific-technological products and has done a lot to change the culture, economy and life of our societies.

This exhibition aims to bring the laser closer to the public and answers simple questions: what is it, how does it work and what is it for? They will be exhibited real devices: semiconductor and gas lasers and materials and photonics laboratory instruments IFISC. All with the aim of disseminating the various research and projects regarding laser in which IFISC works, for example the project PHOCUS.
