IMPLOSIÓ SEEN BY...

"Implosió seen by…" is a tour through the Es Baluard's permanent exhibition with different personalities. They're the curator and gallery owner Joan Oliver "Maneu", actor Toni Gomila, curator, writer and professor Jorge Luis Marzo and Nekane Aramburu, the museum's coordinators Catalina Joy and Soad Houman, the artist Pedro Vidal, Laia Martínez, Ulric & Renate Werthein and Irene La Sen.

"Implosió" opened last January 30, 2014, coinciding with the museum's 10th anniversary. This exhibition is constructed through four consecutive areas differentiated in order to analyse them from the perspective of things glocal (the context of the Balearic Islands and the presence of international contemporary art). The areas “Implosió” is comprised of are articulated through certain stylistic continuities following customary historiography, but also proposing new interpretations of the same and having an impact on hot spots whose shock waves allowed for advancement in contemporary artistic practices.
