Performative intervention by Francisco Ruiz de Infante in the «Ballard Baluard» project

- Time: 7.30pm
- Place: Gabinet
- Activity with free entry
Francisco Ruiz de Infante presents his performative intervention I’m going to hide the evidence, turn off the light, forget what has happened and watch Planet of the Apes (2018) within the framework of the «Ballard Baluard» exhibition.
This intervention is explained from the idea that the mistake is an opportunity, as it happens with the origin that gave rise to the «Ballard Baluard» project, since, for spelling issues, when looking for Google or in the social networks the name of the Es Baluard museum, it appears «Ballard» as an option, the last name of the writer, James Graham Ballard.
The intervention of the artist, as well as the resulting ephemeral installation, connects two different levels, what happens below and above and what happens above, at different times, simultaneously, where the immediate past and the future alternate in spaces that intersect.
The overlay of what happens in the Gabinet, where is «Ballard Baluard», through the balcony of glass and the walls that connect the lower area where is the «Permanent Collection», in Plant 1. As a drawing or a hieroglyphic language, where we can observe different elements that are related to each other generating a tension.

Performance (25-10-18) and melancholic installation inside the exhibition.
I am going to do all I can to go down. Imagine I’m up, and I want to go down. I know I’m going to go down. I have to get ready. Get my arms and legs ready. Understand the old cartographies and draw a new plan.
I have to corroborate how things break when they go down. Foresee that the undercarriage won’t resist. Pronounce each of the words said well, so that the black box can repeat them.
Progression, anti-climax and climax. When do we begin?
