LA MEMÒRIA DELS OBJECTES (THE OBJECTS MEMORY)

Es Baluard hosts the course “La memòria dels objectes” (The Objects Memory), organized by the Associació d'Actors i Actrius Professionals de les Illes Balears (AAAPIB) and taught by Xavier Bobés, from the objects theater company Playground. This course aims to deepen the relation between the actor and the atrezzo items, is in the museum's auditorium from September 16 through 20, 2013 and from 10 am to 2 pm. 

This workshop/laboratory of objects theater will allow to observe objects from an analytical perspective, the expressiveness of the items developing work dynamics that explore them from different angles: movement, association, memory, spatial manipulation. To analyze the gesture with and without the object, both individually and in groups. The need for listening and the technology, but also the free association, spontaneity and chaos.

Actor/manipulator and stage creator, Xavier Bobés defines himself as an autodidact person. In 2003, he founded the company of objects theater – visual “PLAYGROUND”. From then, he's writen directed and starred five theater shows:

2012-2013: Monstres. Show-in-process of research and creation, presented as a work-in-progress show in the festival TNT de Terrassa, october 2012.

Artistic residence in Mexico, Brasil, Argentina, Terrassa, and throughout 2013 in the Mas Espolla of the creation center L’Animal a l’Esquena, Celrà, Girona.

2010-2011: Insomni. Premiere in Festival Temporada Alta 2011, Celrà, Girona.

2008-2009: A taula. Premiere in Teatre Lliure and in Teatre Die Schaubude, Berlin.

2006-2007: El rei de la Soledat. 6º Prize Projectes d’Arts Escèniques Lleida 2005. Premiere in Festival Neo 2006, Barcelona and the Centre Cultural la Mercè 2007, Girona.

2005-2006: Duet. Premiere in Festival Escena Abierta de Burgos, January 2006.

2003-2004: El cap als núvols. Scholarship by Krtu 2003. Prize FAD Sebastià Gasch 2005 – 2006 for the bestinput of the year. Premiere in AreaTangent, May 2004.
