Los Moñekos. 'YI-HA' + SIMONA BERTOZZI. 'BIRD'S EYE VIEW'

LOS MOÑECOS. YI-HA

In front of us a dusty path, a tough and dry path that will drive us where ever. Two on this path, this sinful path. A tale on how two people complement each other, both together are, one without the other are not, but they fight each other. With or without you. Hello and Goodbye.

The company Los Moñekos is all and nothing. Telling, showing and manifesting all those things  this couple carries inside. They move between dance and theater, humor and surrealism. They are self confident, self-less, self servicing.

Its two components Sarah Anglada and Miguel Fiol have worked, together or separately with other companies as Senza Tempo, Nats Nus, Pia Meuthen, Angels Margarit/Cia Mudances, Arno Schuitemaker….

SIMONA BERTOZZI. BIRD'S EYE VIEW

The company Simona Bertozzi Nexus is based in Bologna (Italy), where she graduated in Dance and Theatre Studies at Bologna University. Simona’s research and choreography writing combine a very physical language with studies of anthropology, philosophy and figurative art.

The piece Bird’s Eye View is a musing on flight, the mesmerising and playful journey of a solitary explorer in a highly visionary landscape. It’s a striking and ferocious solo where Simona Bertozzi moves through blades of light, evoking images of flight. A pioneer or a survivor, she embodies a witty and breathtaking physical trip, teetering between human and animal states. Winner of the Audience Prize as Best Solo at 17th Masdanza.
