Mapa dels afectes

The project was born as an initiative of Museu d’Història de Manacor and Es Baluard Museu within the framework of the Apropa Cultura Balears network, with the support of the “la Caixa” Foundation through CaixaBank Social Action, to respond from the art and culture to people with Alzheimer’s and their families.

“Mapa dels afectes” activity has been designed with the intention of improving the quality of life and self-esteem of the participants, as well as promoting communication and social interaction. It is based on the idea that art, words and photography can be used as a stimulus to remember and connect through emotion.

Over the workshop of four sessions, participants will carry out a creative process based on contemporary art, connecting with their experiences that will end with the creation of a map of affections.

The activity has been designed by Sara Fernandez Diaz from Ennigulart Laboratori Creatiu, a space where different activities have been carried out for twelve years for audiences of all ages. A project to experiment, share, learn and think about art and creativity, placing emphasis on the creative process as a tool for well-being and empowerment.
