Es Baluard presents the screening of the documentary Marina Abramovic: The Artist is present exclusively, a day before it is released commercially in Spain and thanks to the collaboration of the Fundació Turisme Palma de Mallorca 365. The film, which won the Audience Award at the Berlin Film Festival 2012 (Panorama Section), nominated at the best documentary at the Independent Spirit Awards and which competed in the 2012 editions of the Seminci (Valladolid) and Sundance, trace a tour of the work of Marina Abramovic (Yugoslavia, 1946) from the monograph dedicated by the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA) in 2010.

Using her own body as a vehicle, the Serbian artist creates a provocative work that excites everyone who sees it. The feature-length documentary film follows the artist as she prepares for what may be the most important moment of her life: a major retrospective of her work, taking place at the Museum of Modern Art in New York".

The screening will be hosted by actress Rossy de Palma. Rossy de Palma was elected by Marina Abramovic to replace her at the operaLife and Death of Marina Abramovic.
