Mujeres valientes. ¡Entérense!

“¡Entérense!” is the result of the workshop “Contra-representacions audiovisuals” carried out from January and April 2015, while “Mujeres Valientes” (Brave Women) is the name taken by the women participants, all united by common problems.

The project is based on the Es Baluard’s programmatic lines and is promoted by the museum’s Department of Educational Development and Training with the collaboration of Obra Social “la Caixa” in the context of the call “Art per a la Millora Social 2014” Social Work.

This workshop was monitored by Tonina Matamalas and Carme Gomila with the guest artists Virginia Villaplana and Mireia Sallarès, both known internationally for their artistic career and their work with communities and gender issue.

The aim of this project is to work on creation and experimentation of collective audiovisual narratives through a methological workshop. A space of trust and learning has been created for this purpose, for share, build and empower together, from the subjectivities and knowledge of all the participants.

The result of the workshop will be seen in the museum’s Observatori hall from 18 April. This space, located on the top floor of Es Baluard, is specialized in experimental processes and open experiences based on investigations, residences, external groups or artists from different disciplines.
