Observatori. 'Festival de Creació Contemporània de Menorca, Pronostica. La Cosa'

Following the relationship started last year, Es Baluardis collaborating with the Festival Internacional de Creació Contemporània de Menorca, Pronostica,to be held between August 17th and 24th August in Mahon. Therefore, will be presented in the space Observatori the audiovisual work La Cosa, by Ulises Pistolo Eliza, Cuco Suárez and Marcel·lí Antúnez, the result of a collective action developed in Cap Favàritx (Menorca) and additional information on Pronostica.

Meanwhile, four artists from Clíniques d’Es Baluard -Maria Isabel Uribe, Natasha Hall, Abraham Calero and Julià Panadès- selected by Nekane Aramburu and Pronostica’s artistic direction will travel to Menorca, to take part in the exhibition proposals of the Maó cloister with magic as a theme for their creative research.

Pronostica aims to generate social debate while presenting useful alternatives that can help the development of the society. The aim of the festival is to introduce new models of thought and action, taking creativity, ecology and solidarity as the basis. Since the committed art, it will deepen in recycling processes in a world of overproduction, as well as in the search for principles that harmonize the diversity of interests of individuals with the general good of the group they belong to.

The festival will take place from August 17th to 24th, 2014 in the yard and showrooms of the Mercat des Claustre del Carme in Mahon. The days of concerts and activities in the cloister will be August 23rd and 24th.
