Paul Morrissey: la sombra de Andy Warhol

“Letters to Paul Morrissey” is a project remembering artistically Andy Warhol's Factory and the Fluxus art movement in New York of the 60s and 70s, linked to the Balearic Islands.

This project by the director Armand Rovira focuses on the filming of Letters to Paul Morrissey, a film shot in Mallorca, and confronts it openly with visitors from 5th April to 26th June at the Observatori.

The Es Baluard's Observatori is an area for knowledge and the transdisciplinary contemporary practices. It's one of the museum's space, focused on the presentation of processes and new ways of experimentation towards the emergent or the research which diversifies and mutates depending on the needs of the moment. It's specialised in organic processes of producers, researchers, artistic residencies, collectives or creators from different disciplines. We'll discover on this occasion the formulation and shooting processes of a film through images, tests, and a teaser will be presented.

Paul Morrissey is an American film director born in New York in 1938, known for making films in collaboration with Andy Warhol at the Factory, mostly staged by the actor Jose Dallesandro.

On 26th April at 7.00 pm a presentation of the project will be carried out where Paul Morrissey films, Andy Warhol's Factory and the Fluxus movement will be discussed. Free admission, limited capacity. With the participation of:
