PEPE ARCADE

PEPE ARCADE. THE DUB ATTACK FEAT MINIMAL TV (vj Mapping Show)

In 2012 Pepe Arcade debuts a new live performance and is releasing new music in the form of “The Dub Attack”, with visuals by Minimal TV, which will take place precisely at the NeoTokyo Festival in Es Baluard. Industrial sounds and atmospheres would be a more correct way of defining “The Dub Attack”, Pepe Arcade’s alter ego. An excellent mix of highly potent sounds and noises which transmit a feeling of mental evasion to the audience. With this live performance, which lasts over an hour, the author shares his passion for experimental music with the audience as well as the electrifying sensation it transmits. Pure electronic music, intense and with great force. This is “The Dub Attack”.

Advanced music and technoid attitude are some of the characteristics that define Pepe Arcade as a producer. He and his music have always been constantly evolving, searching for the path to the maturity and distinction that his creations now display. For several years he has been working as a producer with several different labels. True Type Tracks, Natch Records (Berlin) and Pong Musiq (New York), with which he has just released his first techno album. Moreover, his label Serial Number 849 enables him to work more independently and eclectically, with great European, Asian and American artists. The same is true of REZ, the label he directs with Ángel Costa. As a promoter, he is in charge of the “Consumed, Noches de Música Techno” fiesta, which is held several times a month in Palma de Mallorca.

Javier Cadavieco (Palma 1978) is the responsible of the Minimal TV project based on the creation and transformation of images and real-time mixing, always dominated by a less graphic style, abusing the video and animations with photographic creation. From the loop, he can develope his low-color colocreations with a minimal touch using varied techniques, some old like stop-motion or as recent as 2D animation, 3D and videocollage.
