Permès recordar. GranGent/GentGran

“Permès recordar” is the result of the workshop held in August with Neus Marroig and the Es Baluard’s Educational Development Area. Residents in SARquavitae Palma center and in the Llar i Centre de dia Reina Sofia (Institut Mallorquí d’Afers Socials – Consell de Mallorca) took part in it.

The project is part of the Es Baluard’s programme GranGent / GentGran that, from its social and educational sphere, aims to give an answer to the group of elderly people.

The workshop, conducted by this Majorcan creator with a group of seniors, linked significant historical moments, remaining in our memory, with works from the museum’s collection that refer to these. The starting point was the official history, common to all, to lead to personal stories and see how the global context interacts with subjective experience.

From both all reflections arising and  the rescued memory, participants collaborated on a timeline-installation that can be seen at the Es Baluard’s Intermedi from 16 to 25 October 2015.
