Es Baluard is planning a new “Portfolios viewing” in order to continue promoting the Balearic creators and supporting their training and professionalization. This time it is in charge of the curator and director of the FRAC Corse Museum (Corsica, France) Anne Alessandri. The project is carried out with the sponsoring of the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (ILLENC) through the Circuit d’Arts Visuals program TALENT IB 2018. Focus on Balearic artists, in addition, integrating not only Mallorca but to extending it to the other islands of the archipelago. The selected participants will be able to talk with this professional curator about their work during one hour (to determine the schedules). During the session the artists can address issues like the realization of a statement, the creation of the portfolio or the formalization of their work, among others.

Anne Alessandri is the director of the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain de la Corse (FRAC Corse) and Head of Heritage Conservation. Since 2010 he is responsible for the design and implementation of the museum’s periodic programming, which was reopened in 2010, and is aimed at sensitizing the public about contemporary art in Corsica by using the works of the FRAC collection.

Art historian, specialist in modern and contemporary art, and curator of exhibitions the latest projects she has carried out are “Naturel pas naturel” at the Palais Fesch of the Fine Arts Museum of Ajaccio (2018), “IFANA, Rebecca Ballestra” at the Musée de Bastia (2017), “Archipelago ouest, jeunes artists Corse, Sardaigne, Majorque” at the FRAC Corse de Corte (2017), “Le Monde représenté” at the Bastion de France at Porto-Vecchio (2017), “David Raffini, Processumenti” at the FRAC Corse de Corti (2017), “Hakima el Djoudi, the armée des Ombres” at the FRAC Corse de Corti (2016), “Raconte” at the Bastion de France in Porto-Vecchio, “Promenades” at the Espace Saint Jacques de Bonifacio (2016) or “Elie Cristiani, Là-bas” at the FRAC Corse de Corti (2016), among many other exhibitions he has done throughout his career.
