Es Baluard presents, as closing of the trilogy on the socio-political complexities around the Mediterranean, the complementary publications to the exhibition “Waste Lands: devastated lands” made by San Telmo Museoa (Donostia / San Sebastián) co-producer of the exhibition along with It’s Baluard. During the activity open to the public and the media, Nekane Aramburu and the commissioner of the project, Piedad Solans, will talk about the publication that has three volumes, entitled “Feminisms, exiles, narratives (1)” and “Wars , violence and human rights (2 and 3) “, within the DESAFÍOS collection.

The publication contains texts by internationally renowned authors and authors such as Gema Martín Muñoz, Fatna el Bouih, Amina Benbouchta, Kinda Hassan, Parastou Forouhar, Larissa Sansour, Sophie Bessis and Sami Naïr, whose texts correspond to the meetings held in the framework of the days parallel to the exhibition.

The exhibition “Waste Lands: devastated lands” promoted by Es Baluard together with its curator, Piedad Solans, is currently, and after being rounded in San Telmo Museum in Donostia / San Sebastián, in Casa Árabe (Madrid) until May 20 2018. The collective exhibition brings together works by 13 artists and addresses, from 2000 to the present, urban, social, anthropological and archaeological landscapes and environments in Arab and Muslim world countries.
