Reescriure Canamunt

Community creation project through observation of the territory with the gaze of art

The project is an initiative of Tina Codina (Connecta Cultura), together with the Taller de Arte Esment and Es Baluard Museu and with the participation of the Casal Ciutat Antiga and the AVV Canamunt. It is proposed as a laboratory dynamic based on the exhibition “Carlos Garaicoa. All Utopias Go Through the Belly” which will be opened to the participation of people neighboring or linked to the Canamunt neighborhood.

During the sessions, that will combine different spaces between the museum, the Art Workshop Esment and the public space, analysis and synthesis activities, generation of ideas, and reflection will be launched to work on a joint project on invisible aspects of the territory, traces that activate our memory or elements that are no longer there and that we want to make visible.

At the end of the process, a sample of the process and results will be held from November 20 to 30, 2024 at the Centre Flassaders coinciding with the FIU (International Ultralocal Festival) organized by the AVV Canamunt.

Within the framework of the sample, a series of activities have been scheduled in relation to:

  • Thursday November 21 at 11 a.m.: presentation of the project by the participants at the Flassaders Center
  • Friday November 22 at 8 pm: presentation of the project within the Ultralocal International Festival (FIU) at the Center Flassaders
