SCREENING OF THE DOCUMENTARY FILM 'PINA' AND LECTURE

Within the framework of the cycle "image and motion" organized by the Cultural Association "Trampa Teatre", Es Baluard hosts the screening of the documentary film entitled Pina, directed by Wim Wenders on the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, the dance company founded by the great German choreographer. Wenders, through a sensual, visually stunning journey, get the audience closer to Bausch's most famous choreographies. Written, directed and produced by Wenders himself, this experimental film revolutionized the relationship between film and dance for the originality of his approach, and was shot entirely in natural and urban settings of Wuppertal, the German city where Bausch lived for 35 years and home of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.

A meeting hosted by Eva Frade and Mireia Izquierdo will be given after the screening to discuss and assess the influence of Pina Bausch in the contemporary art motion.

The film will be screened in 2D.
