SEMINAR “PHOTOGRAPHY: REALITY AND/OR FICTION”

Photographers Joan Fontcuberta (Barcelona, 1955) and Pep Bonet (Colònia de Sant Jordi, Mallorca, 1974), will deliver the seminar "Photography: reality and/or fiction" on June 28, 29 and 30 in Es Baluard. A chance to know first-hand the experience of these two prestigious professionals, awarded the National Prize for Photography and the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (French Ministry of Culture) in the case of Fontcuberta and the World Press Photo for the report "One Goal" (image) and the Eugene Smith Humanistic Grant, awarded by Pep Bonet. It is a unique opportunity to analyze two different natures of photography: the artistic creation, the style of Fontcuberta, and the documentary that characterizes Bonet.

Those interested can send their curriculum to fotopsia@gmail.com before June 3, attaching a motivation letter and, if they have it, a dossier with 15 images in jpg format and 1024 px by the longest side. The prize of the seminar is 200 euros (25% discount for Amics d'Es Baluard). The moderators of the seminar are Antoni Amengual and Tanit Plana.

The seminar is aimed at photographers, curators, gallery owners, cultural gestors, students of Art, journalists, etc., and at everyone interested in Photography.
