After two editions of "Cinéma du Québec de Barcelona", the program expands its horizons until Es Baluard thanks to the special collaboration of the Bureau du Québec in Barcelona, SODEC (Société de développement des entreprises culturelles) and Mecal (Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Barcelona).

The Second edition of the "Mostra de Cinema del Quebec de Barcelona", which took place from May 20 to 22, 2011 features the best Quebec cinema. All the pieces have a great quality, creativity and interest and are honoured with several international awards.

On June 9, 2011 it will be projected in the Es Baluard's auditorium the film The Trotsky by Jacob Tierney and the short film Umbra by Malcom Suherland at 6 pm and at 8.30 pm the film Curling and the short film Les Journaux de Lipsett by Denis Côté.

The "Cinéma du Québec" first edition started 14 years ago in Paris. From then, it has been decentralized in Cannes, Nîmes, Lieja (Belgium), Nantes and Barcelona. Since its aim for introduce the Quebec cinema, the SODEC supports promotion and difusion of the Quebec film production."Cinéma du Québec" developes promotional events for the Quebec cinema at the international market.
