Talk-colloquium "Popular ceramics vs contemporary ceramics"

Es Baluard collaborates hosting the talk-colloquium “Ceramics popular vs contemporary ceramics” a project proposed by the Ajuntament de Felanitx, which relates its interest in works in clay with the ceramic collection of the museum. In the debate, the popular pottery of the Mediterranean and its origin, up to the felanitxeres jars, starting point of a recent exhibition in the Casa de Cultura of that municipality, and its significance within popular Mallorcan ceramics. The intention is to oppose ceramics as a material and as a technique of current contemporary creation.

The participants at the table are: the art historian, Amàlia Salas; the artists Lin Utzon and Jaume Roig, accompanied by Xisco Duarte, curator of the exhibition project in the Ajuntament de Felanitx.
