The Cathedral's rosettes and the solstice conjunction

As currently every year at this time, around the Winter Solstice, the Cathedral of Mallorca turns into a spectacular giant kaleidoscope of color. It is seen from Es Baluard and, with the permission of clouds, this is one of the most beautiful sunrises you can see.  

This effect, discovered, studied and disseminated by the Societat Balear de Matemàtiques SBM-XEIX , annually attracts more and more followers and with the aim of disseminating mathematical knowledge, we have now prepared a morning with the participation of an exceptional speaker: Fernando Blasco, professor in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Mathematics disseminator and specialist in Mathematics magic. He's written several books on Mathematics aimed at all the ages and is collaborator at Cadena Ser's programme Hoy por hoy.
