The revolution of the plants

The "Sustainable Landscapes" project is a program of activities about art, ecology and sustainability. It's part of the Es Baluard's programme and aims to to create links between culture, environment and sustainable development.     



Josep Pàmies is special guest of "Sustainable landscapes", He's expert in permaculture and medicinal plants.   

Pàmies is a Catalan peasant (born in Balaguer, Lleida). 15 years ago, he abandoned modern methods of cultivation with abundant use of chemicals and pesticides, to move to organic farming, resulting in a radical improvement in their health and their land. Since then, he has become a strong advocate of organic farming and has researched and promoted the use of plants with medicinal properties, especially stevia and wormwood. Pàmies also criticized the pharmaceutical industry and the companies that promote the use of GMOs and more to ensure that the economic benefits -through the use of patents and the chronic illness that finding real solutions and ethical.
