TOLMI. TALLERS PER A ADULTS

Workshop by Isabel Forteza, dance and theater student, Jordi Pallares, teacher and designer of building projects and urban performance, and Maria Bel Riera, architect. This project workshop format was designed for an adult individual (self-) critical and analytical skills on their environments public and / or private. The ABA Art gallery project and participated well combined spaces for workshops Baluard and ABA gallery space of Palma.

 

What is CIUTAT Tolmi?

 

Project created in 2004 by five individuals concerned about everything that defines us and binds us to the city level, CIUTAT Tolmi is a city of cities. An inner city that we all have and may not externalize, which largely corresponds to the closest translation of our desires and reflections.

 

Tolmi CIUTAT city is an idea close, personal and utopian, as it can portray us in the most intimate and private. A year in which the individual is forced to strip and interact with their immediate environment and with other latent citizens like him.

Tolmi community now has over a hundred citizens eager to be read, watched and listened. Everyone, men and women, behind the door of their cities and willing to share!

 

Objectives

 

CIUTAT Tolmi is always under continuous construction. Based on the personal background of each of the participants, led to a series of activities and microworkshops to these vaciasen your files private, share and start building your own Ciutat Tolmi. Similarly, the same participants could act as a bridge and open their doors to tolmizar to third parties.

 

All with the objective of reflecting on this particular concept of citizenship identity inner face, the individual and -públicos/privados spaces, reales/virtuales- haunting. Together we rethink the other cities and, above all, who inhabit them.

 

Contents

 

The concept regarding Tolmi are audiovisual. They are in the planning and literature, but also in music, film, body and creative activities in those where the city and its software are part of the background. That is why what some authors cited work directly in relation to the role of each of us in our particular cities, and about shared spaces result of a collective memory.

A look centripetal and centrifugal simultaneously and multiple representations, either showing / submitted artifacts and / or existing photographs, creating new images, exploring the language of the body, the silence and the sound or creating art objects more or less traditional .
