TOWARDS DECOMPARTMENTALIZATION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY: Photographers, photographers-artists and artists-photographers, a discussion on practice and concept

The museum present within the PalmaPhoto activities, the roundtable "Towards decompartmentalization of the Photography: Photographers, photographers-artists and artists-photographers, a discussion on practice and concept", with the participation of three Spanish National Awards of Photography:

• José Manuel Ballester (Spanish National Prize of Photography, 2010)
• Toni Catany (Spanish National Prize of Photography, 2001)
• Javier Vallhonrat (Spanish Nacional Prize of Photography, 1995)

SYNOPSIS

Photographers, photographers-artists and artists-photographers. The unstoppable drift of contemporary creation leads us, inevitably, to the compartmentalization of photography. Photography as a medium and photography as an end itself. A reflection on the genesis, practices and concepts of the contemporary photography throurg the testimony of three creators honoured with the Spanish National Photography Prize.
