Visit to the studio of J.M Broto, artist of the Collection

José Manuel Broto, artist of the Es Baluard Collection, gives to the Members of Es Baluard the opportunity to meet his Workshop. On Saturday November 16, within the program of activities 2019, a visit will be made to his workshop, in the area of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar-Son Servera.

During the visit, we will know where and how the artist works as well as to chat directly with him. Later on, we will visit his exhibition, the one that took place on October 25th in the framework of the second edition of the «Maridar sentidos» cycle within the project «DelicARTessen. ART & Gastronomy», a fusion between art and gastronomy by chef Tomeu Caldentey and José Manuel Broto at the Hotel Protur Biomar Gran Hotel & Spa. The day will end by having lunch at the Tomeu Caldentey Cuiner restaurant, run by Tomeu Caldentey.

At the moment his work Sín título (1984) is shown at «Permanent Collection», a new interpretation of the Collection based on the artistic practices developed from 1890 to 2017. Structured around three chronological fields, the selection of the works explores, by way of a sequence, the connections and intersections existing between the local, national and international artistic contexts.
