Formatting Architecture Summer Workshop 2017
Place: Intermedi

Es Baluard hosts until August 24, the results of the summer workshop Formatting Architecture at Intermedi. Large scale drawings and models created with digital production can be seen in collaboration with the Mallorcan company PORAXA. The workshop has developed proposals for the reactivation (through reformatted) of the abandoned Son Dureta complex.

The objective is to trigger a conversation through architectural design about a key location in the immediate future of Palma. After the exhibition at Es Baluard, the results will be also exhibited and explained at the TUBerlin.

Formatting Architecture is a one-week intensive workshop for students of Architecture and design that has included: visits to architectures around the whole island, conferences and reviews of important Spanish architects such as Barozzi / Veiga, HUGE Studio, Flexo architecture, OHLAB, TEd’A Arquitectes, EXTUDIO, Víctor López-Cotelo, etc.

Directed by Toni Gelabert, Néstor Montenegro & Blanca Juanes.
