Ramon Canet

A graduate in fine arts from the University of Barcelona, Ramon Canet mounted his first one-man exhibition in Palma in 1973. Since then, his work has been shown on a regular basis in this city, as well as in one-man exhibitions in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stockholm and Jakarta, among other cities, and at international fairs such as Arco, Art Frankfurt, Chicago International Art, Tokyo Art Expo, Art Asia, Art Cologne and Saga, etc.. His career as a painter who delves deeply into abstract language has been reviewed in several retrospectives. A founding member of Edicions 6a Obra Gràfica, he has made great strides in this field. Since 1991, he has been an academician of the Reial Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Sant Sebastià. Ramon Canet lives and works in Palma.
