Collection Es Baluard

Publication dedicated to the museum’s collection, the result of the transversal work carried out by the Director, the Artistic Department and the Educational Development, Training and Public Programmes Department. The selection of works – in total 85 – responds to the study of the most-requested pieces both externally (through loans to other institutions, for example) and internally (because of their value as an instrument for education and social mediation). Each of the four large thematic blocks – Utopias (Geographies: Centres and peripheries); Genders and transgenders; Politics; and Landscapes and sustainability – is preceded by a presentation text drafted by the experts Enrique Juncosa, Griselda Pollock, Jorge Luis Marzo and Diana Weschler, respectively. The publication includes specific comments made by the museum team, complemented by the colour reproductions of each work.
