Deseado Mercadal

This book is dedicated to the writer, journalist and musician Deseado Mercadal Bagur (Maó, 1911–2000), editor of the socialist newspaper Justicia Social and a member of the resistance movement on Menorca during the Civil War. It also remembers the republican prisoners held in concentration camps on the Mediterranean coast. Published on the occasion of Daniel García Andújar’s exhibition “Letter of Marque”, it includes texts by Tomás Andújar and Daniel García Andújar and a wide selection of reproductions of images and documents from the time from public and private archives.
