Catalogue for the exhibition “Esther Ferrer. In four movements”, published by Es Baluard and the Sociedad Estatal de Acción Cultural. The exhibition leads us along the path of the work of this conceptual artist carried out over more than 40 years of artistic creation and research. Esther Ferrer is first and foremost a performer, and has worked on performances since the late 1970s, with her body as the central element of her artistic production. The exhibition revolves around four concepts which are always present in Ferrer’s work: time, infinity, repetition and presence, bringing together object-based work, installations and documentation of her performances, essential works of her career and other hitherto unpublished works. The catalogue includes the images of the exhibited works, as well as other images of performances and works that Ferrer has created throughout her life. It also contains critical texts by Margarita de Aizpuru, Rosa Olivares, Tom Johnson, David Pérez Rodríguez, Sergio Rubira and Alberto Sánchez Balmisa.
