Catalogue for the installation the Cuban artist Jorge Mayet produced specifically for the Aljub space of Es Baluard. Mayet recovers the bohío, a Cuban peasant house that he launched on the waters off the coast of Miami on the occasion of the Art Basel Miami Beach art fair in 2009, and which succumbed to a storm and was destroyed. With no political connotations, Mayet uses Arquitectura para las almas to recall the instant when the bohío was wrecked, gathering the remains and presenting them in a historic space with a special atmosphere, the Aljub. The catalogue contains colour images of the installation and critical texts by Sema D’Acosta and Sebastià Camps.
