3,300 PEOPLE VISIT ES BALUARD ON THE DAY OF THE BALEARICS

A total of 3,300 people visited today the Es Baluard exhibitions. This is one of the largest numbers of visitors to the museum recorded in a single day.  Es Baluard held today open doors on the occasion of the Day of the Balearic Islands and the people were able to visit the museum free of charge from 10 am to 8 pm.

Today was the opening of the permanent room "Duality. Works from the Es Baluard's collection" (above), which gathers six large-format paintings of the artists Miquel Barceló, Miguel Angel Campano, Ñaco Fabré, Ferran Garcia Sevilla and Guillem Nadal. These six works represent the dialogue between figuration and abstraction in the field of painting since the early 80's onwards and they have two different characters, gesture and material.
