ES BALUARD CELEBRATES THE BOOKS DAY 2011 WITH ACTIVITIES
Es Baluard will take place, during April, a series of activities to celebrate the Books Day 2011. Although the festivity is on April 23 , the museum will carry out from April 12 to 28 a micro-story contest at Facebook (together with the Can Sales Palma's Public Library), discounts and 2x1 purchasing Es Baluard's catalogues, guided tours on the exhibition "Eduardo Arroyo. Painting Literature" and bookcrossing.
MICRO-STORIES CONTEST AT FACEBOOK
Es Baluard and Palma's Can Sales Public Library will carry out for the first time a micro-stories contest at Facebook. Everyone interested in participate must become friend of the Es Baluard's or Can Sales's Facebook profiles. Until April 26 you can write a maximum of two micro-stories on the wall of the group we've created (*). The tales must be in Catalan or Spanish and the argument must be the museum Es Baluard (an exhibition, the museum in general, and anecdote, etc). Remember that the maximum allowed by Facebook are 255 characters. So this is is the maximum lenght of the tales. The prizes are:

DISCOUNTS AT THE ES BALUARD'S STORE
Es Baluard wants to celebrate the Books Day with gifts and discounts. If you purchase a book from April 12 to 28 at the museum's store, we'll give you a catalogue of one of the Es Baluard's exhibitions, selected from a group of them. Furthermore, on April 23, all the books will have a 10 percent discount.

GUIDED TOURS
Es Baluard offers you the chance of visiting the exhibition "Eduardo Arroyo. Painting Literature" on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 at 5 pm with analysis by the museum's Education team. The visits are free but reservation is required calling to 971 908 201.
BOOKCROSSING
Es Baluard joins to the net formed by 31 Spanish museums: Artium (Vitoria), CCCB (Barcelona), Fundació Joan Miró (Barcelona), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), MUSAC (León), Fundació Antoni Tàpies (Barcelona), among others. All of them will deliver on April 15 more than 2,500 books for the people to enjoy reading. Es Baluard will deliver books among different places in Palma.
