ES BALUARD HOLDS AN OPEN DAY TO CELEBRATE THE CONSTITUTION DAY

Es Baluard Museu d'Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma will hold next Sunday, December 5, an open day on the occasion of Constitution Day. The museum will be free all day, from 10 am to 8 pm. On December 6, Constitution Day, the museum will be closed like all Monday of the year.

During next Sunday it can be visited the temporary exhibitions "The murmur of the world: from informalism to the new abstractions, 1950-2010" and "Alberto Garcia-Alix. Lo más cerca que estuve del paraíso" and the permanent "Sala Miro", "Dona, dona", "Dialogues in Abstraction" and "Picasso ceramics".

"The murmur of the world: from informalism to the new abstractions, 1950-2010", which can be seen until January 30 is a new approach to the Es Baluard's collection curated, on this occasion, by Juan Manuel Bonet, former director of the Reina Sofia and IVAM museums. "Alberto Garcia-Alix. Lo más cerca que estuve del paraíso" will be open until January 8 and features for the first time photographs taken by the National Prize of Photography 1999 in the Balearic Islands, especially Formentera.

During this open doors day will be projected the documentary De donde no se vuelve, directed by Alberto García-Alix and produced by MNCARS. This film will be projected until January 9, non stop, at the Es Baluard's Aljub.
