ES BALUARD LAUNCHES ITS ANNUAL REPORT 2010 ONLINE

According to their desire for transparency, Es Baluard has launched another year its economic and activity report. This time concerns to 2010. The document includes the exhibitions and activities that took place between last year's January and December, those that were held at the museum or related to the work of its various areas, as well as the presence of the museum at the media. Moreover, according to a criterion of sustainability, the report has a digital edition. You can download it in this website chapter "publications".    

During 2010, Es Baluard organized 7 exhibitions ("Juan Uslé. Nudos y Rizomas", "The Sites of the Latin American Abstraction. Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection", "Dietrich Klinge. Transformations", "In Private 2. The unamiable option", "Pep Llambías. Septem", "Alberto Garcia-Alix. Lo más cerca que estuve del paraíso" and "The Murmur of the world. From informalism to the new abstractions, 1950-2010. Views of Es Baluard's collection") in addition to the exhibition "Animar.te, 20 years of computer animation in the UIB", which was exhibited in the Katzen Arts Center at American University (Washington). During this period, 9 publications were published and the museum acquired 44 works for its collection.    

The 2010 report also reflects the success of Es Baluard's proposals since last year 378 000 people visited the museum, a 16% increase over the previous year. Like 2009, the document includes the financial report, noting that the museum had last year 15% less institutional contribution over the previous year. But Es Baluard closed 2010 with a surplus of 54,782 euros.    

One of the achievements of 2010 was the publication of the Es Baluard's Museological Plan. In its development it worked the museum's team for a year and a half and it reflects the Baluard's present, its needs and objectives.
