Es Baluard launches its spring programme
Es Baluard presents its spring programme, a complete document in Catalan, Spanish and English featuring the museum's exhibitions as well as its cultural, educational and training activities.
Es Baluard continues with the "Sustainable Landscapes" programme. In this period with a masterclass by Eduardo Kac, screenings of "OVNI Selection", among others. Annual events like Palma amb la Dansa, Art Palma Brunch, The Book’s Day and the International Museum Day will be also carried out from April to June. All the summer festivals developed in Es Baluard will be presented in one great event, on 18 April, under the brand FES (summer festivals of music and performing arts in Es Baluard).
The educational, training and leisure compromise is shown through parallel activities to both exhibitions "La Mer au Milieu des Terres // Medi Terraneum Mare" (in collaboration with Médicos del Mundo) and "Implosió (cel·lular). Carte Blanche for Agustín Fernández Mallo", with the participation of Bernardí Roig. In addition, with Ignasi Aballí or the workshop "Ephemeral Architecture", taught by Andrés Jaque and Nerea Calvillo and which is aimed to build a new hall of the museum named "Espai Educatiu Guillem Cifre de Colonya".
In the Observatori hall, will be shown the results of the project conducted by Tonina Matamalas and Carme Gomila with the artists Mireia Sallarès and Virginia Villaplana in collaboration with the collective “Mujeres Valientes” (with the support of Obra Social "la Caixa"). The exhibition "Jean Marie del Moral. El ojo Miró", to be shown in the Gabinet, is the museum collaboration in PalmaPhoto 2015.
Es Baluard continues also working in its cultural complex with, among others, the multidisciplinary meeting "PRE-FORMATTING". This is the first step of the activation of The Tower by a group of collectives.
